Jason and I were asked if we would attend a sister in our ward's temple endowment. We got to be the witness couple. Since temples are still very restricted you can only have part of a full room of people and you have to reserve seats in advance. We haven't been to the temple in well over a year due to the pandemic so it was a real treat to be able to attend. The Raleigh temple was also under construction for a few years before the pandemic so we haven't been inside that temple in a LONG time. The grounds were beautiful too. It was a lovely way to spend the day with my husband.

Dates
We have been trying to still have parent-child dates even though eating out can be difficult with COVID restrictions. I took Darby to IHOP and they were decorated for Easter. It was adorable.
Jason took Paige out and she requested Mission BBQ. That burger looks amazing.

Empty Desks
Do you see what I see? There is no child at this desk nor is there a computer. For the first time IN A YEAR my kids are back at in-person school! Our district is finally opening up!
It's only two days a week and everything is HEAVILY modified but I'm choosing to think of it as a small step in the right direction. If I dwell too much on it I just get annoyed or angry. There are temperature checks before letting children into school. Parents and visitors are restricted or prohibited. No field trips. They are eating lunch in the classroom and not having recess. They have to wear masks and sit in family groups socially distanced on the bus. The teacher still has to be online for the kids that are at home (students either attend Mon/Tues or Thurs/Fri). As a result the teacher mainly stays in one spot for instruction to be caught on camera. Most schoolwork is still done on the computer. If they see a decline in cases then they will move on to Plan A (see notice below).
